- An ancient race of Middle-earth, Elves are noble, elegant and magical beings in harmony with the natural world and its forces. Legolas Greenleaf, a Sindarin Elf of the Woodland Realm, was sent to Rivendell as a messenger and took part in the Council of Elrond, where he was chosen to represent the Elves in the Fellowship of the Ring. Legolas, who possesses keen senses, is an excpert archer and master with Elven fighting knives, which he carried on his back in scabbards on either side of his quiver. He proved to be a valuable asset to the Fellowship as they hourneyed into territories of evil. In keeping with the natural harmony of the Elves, Legolas' Fighting Knifes have a flowing organic design, are adorned with Elven vine motifs, and the blades feature a very detailed filigree etch.
These authentically detailed knives are reproductions of the knives carried by Legolas and are prominently featured in "The Lord of the Rings" film trilogy presented by New Line Cinema. United Cutlery Brands, industry leader in fine movie reproductions, has meticulously recreated the actual prop knives using the finest grade materials and craftsmanship of the highest quality available. These beautifully designed knives, with an overall length of 22 3/8" each, feature American oak handles with an Elven vine design, cast metal guards and pommels, and 420 J2 stainless steel blades, deep-etched with a gold-tone color. Each set of knives is presented with a wood wall display plaque that suspends both knives in a unique criss cross position, and is adorned with the badge of the Greenleaf family of Legolas.
These officially licensed reproductions from The Lord of the Rings trilogy are the fighting knives wielded by Legolas. These fully sharpened knives offer 14 3/4" stainless steel blades with gold tone color and full-tang construction. The gold and tan solid American oak handles offer Elven vine design and cast metal guard and pommel. This item includes a 12 5/8" x 15 11/16" x 3/4" wood plaque adorned with Legolas' family badge and Certificate of Authenticity. These are made by United Cutlery and handcrafted in Taiwan.
